About Me

Photo of Liz EbersoleWho Am I?

I’m currently a doctoral student in Seattle Pacific University’s Digital Education Leadership EdD program. My research interests focus on how teacher education programs are preparing preservice teachers to successfully evaluate and use technology in their future classrooms.

As a teacher-librarian & teacher educator, I am passionate about using technology to build active, creative, and connected learning environments for the whole school community.

As a Common Sense Education Ambassador, I worked directly with Common Sense Education to promote digital citizenship. My specialty is digital citizenship curriculum integration. I hosted workshops on this topic at the Washington Library Association (WLA) Annual Conference and National Council for Teachers of English Annual Conference. I have also hosted school-based workshops on this topic for parents.

Outside of the worlds of education and technology, my passions are reading, cooking (farm to table), herb and vegetable gardening and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with my friends and family.

My Web Presence

I enjoy building relationships with organizations and people who are as passionate as I am about developing technologies that enhance learning environments. In addition to this blog, I have been sharing my experiences with educational technology and growing my PLN on Twitter @liztekkieLinkedIn, Google Groups (G+), Microsoft Education, Edmodo, and EdWeb.
